What seasonal colors describe
Seasonal palette analysis groups colors into families called Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Those names describe color combinations. You can wear a Winter palette in July or try Spring shades in November.
The four-season framework uses differences such as warm versus cool and soft versus bright. Warm shades lean toward yellow or gold; cool shades lean toward blue. Soft colors look muted, while bright colors look clearer and more intense.
Undertone means the underlying warm, cool, or neutral cast of your skin. Vein color alone can’t establish it. If you’re curious about that subject, the undertone quiz gives you another way to explore it.
How to compare colors beside your face
Use indirect daylight near a window, with indoor lights switched off. Hold two fabrics near your face one at a time, and keep your position and background the same. Direct sun can make the comparison harder.
Try colors that differ in one clear way, such as a dusty blue and a bright blue. Notice where your attention goes and which combination you enjoy. You don’t need to decide that either color looks bad.
A mirror avoids camera filters and automatic photo adjustments. If you use photos, turn filters off and keep the lighting steady. Screens and lighting can change how colors appear, so treat digital swatches as starting points.
How this quiz works
The 15 questions ask about your preferences and color comparisons. You’ll consider scarf shades, your easiest white, and how faded or very bright fabrics look beside your face. Other questions ask which earring metal you prefer.
Your answers guide one of four palette suggestions. A favorite color tells you about taste; a fabric comparison tells you about what you notice in that light. Both are useful to explore, but they aren’t the same kind of evidence.
This is an exploratory styling quiz, not a professional color assessment. Read the result as a palette to test. If two families seem equally appealing, compare a few shades from each instead of treating the distinction as settled.
What your suggested palette means
Spring
Spring colors are generally warm and clear. Try coral with cream, or add a fresh yellow-green scarf to an outfit you already wear.
Summer
Soft, cool shades sit in the Summer family. Dusty blue and muted rose are examples; a rose top with soft gray pants gives you one combination to test.
Autumn
For Autumn, explore warm, muted colors such as rust and olive. An olive shirt with camel pants is a simple place to begin.
Winter
Winter leans cool and clear, with combinations that can have strong contrast. You could try cobalt with black, or a white shirt under a deep blue sweater.
Keep your own taste in the picture
You don’t need a new wardrobe to test a suggestion. Borrow a scarf or compare clothes you own. Keep wearing colors you enjoy, even when they sit outside your suggested family.
