Lightsaber Color Quiz: Find Your Star Wars Match

This lightsaber color quiz uses 15 questions to match your choices with one of six colors. You’ll get a playful personality match inspired by Star Wars.

A color match for your everyday choices

A lightsaber is the glowing blade carried by Jedi and Sith in Star Wars. Its blade gets its power from a kyber crystal. The Force is the energy that Jedi and Sith draw on for their abilities.

This lightsaber color quiz is an unofficial personality game for fun and self-reflection. Its six personality associations are invented for the quiz, not established Star Wars rules or a validated personality assessment.

How your answers shape the match

The 15 questions ask how you’d respond to everyday situations and fictional adventures. You might deal with a broken ship, choose how to explore a planet, or decide what to text a friend who cancels plans.

Your choices connect with six playful traits: protection, reflection, practicality, independence, compassion, and ambition. Choose the answer closest to what you’d actually do, even if another sounds more impressive. You don’t need to remember dialogue or pass a lore test; the Star Wars trivia quiz is a separate challenge for your memory.

Star Wars lore and the quiz’s color meanings

Canon is the current official Star Wars storyline. Legends is the label for older stories outside that storyline. Some Legends games link blue with Jedi Guardians, green with Jedi Consulars, and yellow with Jedi Sentinels, which are different Jedi roles.

Those class associations aren’t a universal rule in canon. A blade color doesn’t give you a complete account of a character’s personality. The descriptions below pair each quiz trait with a lore example so you can tell the two apart.

Blue

Your blue match leans toward protection: you may step in when someone needs support. That instinct can help a group feel secure, though taking responsibility for everything can wear you out. In Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi carries a blue blade; the protective label is this quiz’s choice.

Green

Reflection is the green result’s theme. Taking time to think can help you understand a disagreement, but waiting for complete certainty can slow a decision. Luke Skywalker uses a green lightsaber in Return of the Jedi; green doesn’t require every wielder to prefer negotiation.

Yellow

A yellow match favors practical solutions, such as finding the tool that gets a stalled project moving. You might fix the immediate problem before asking why it keeps happening. Jedi Temple Guards carry yellow blades in canon, while this quiz connects yellow with practicality.

Purple

Independence guides this result, with room to question a rule or try your own approach. Your ideas can help, though explaining them matters when you’re working with others. Mace Windu’s blade is purple, but the color isn’t proof of balancing both sides of the Force.

White

Compassion shapes the white match. Listening can help someone feel understood, though your own needs deserve attention too. Ahsoka Tano’s white blades use purified crystals that were once red; this quiz’s white result is separate from silver.

Red

The red result connects with ambition: you enjoy having a goal to work toward. That drive can keep a project moving, but you might need patience with a slower teammate. In canon, dark-side users turn crystals red through a process called bleeding; your match says nothing about your morality.
