What Is My Aesthetic? Quiz Your Everyday Outfit Choices

What is my aesthetic? This 15-question personality quiz explores your clothing preferences and matches your answers to one of six styles you can try.

What Is My Aesthetic

What a clothing aesthetic means

A clothing aesthetic is a style built around visual choices you enjoy. You might like loose shapes, faded fabrics, or small floral prints. An aesthetic gives you words for those preferences.

Asking “what is my aesthetic?” can help you describe outfits you’d like to try. Your answer can change with your routine, the weather, or your taste. This quiz is for fun and self-reflection, and your clothing choices don’t define your identity.

How this quiz works

The quiz has 15 questions about clothing preferences. You’ll choose things such as the shape of an everyday outfit, the fabric you’d reach for, and the shoes you’d wear most.

Other questions ask about two-color combinations and accessories. You’ll also choose how to wear a plain button-up shirt. Choose the option you’d actually enjoy wearing, even if another answer looks good in a photo.

Your choices are matched to six style results. A result gives you a starting point for outfit ideas, and styles can overlap. You can borrow a detail you like or skip a result that doesn’t suit your taste.

The six style results

Grunge

Grunge draws on worn textures and casual layers. Faded denim and plaid shirts fit this look. Sturdy boots work with both. Try an open flannel over a T-shirt with jeans you already wear.

Vintage

Older clothing and details from past decades are the starting point for vintage style. Try a patterned blouse with a pleated skirt. A cardigan works too. You don’t need an outfit made entirely of old pieces.

90s Nostalgia

This result focuses on clothes associated with the 1990s, while vintage covers a wider range of decades. Straight-leg jeans and simple tops are easy places to start. Wear a plain tee with sneakers, or layer an open button-up over it.

Soft Girl

Soft Girl style often uses pale colors and delicate details, such as small flowers or hair clips. Pair a light cardigan with jeans or a skirt. The name describes a clothing style; anyone can try these outfit ideas.

Artsy

Color combinations and unusual prints give artsy outfits their character. You could pair a patterned shirt with plain pants or add a printed scarf to a simple outfit. Handmade accessories fit here too, if you enjoy wearing them.

VSCO

VSCO style is associated with relaxed casual clothing, including roomy T-shirts and shorts. Canvas sneakers and scrunchies are common details. Start with a comfortable tee and your usual casual bottoms.

Try an outfit with what you own

Pick one detail from your result before buying anything. Roll the sleeves of a button-up or change your shoes. You could also try a different bag with an outfit you already like. Small changes let you test a style without replacing your closet.

You can mix a soft cardigan with grunge-inspired jeans or wear a vintage shirt with sneakers. If you’d like to explore your overall wardrobe preferences, the style quiz asks you to think about your clothing taste more broadly.

  2. Fits me perfectly! I got VSCO and even though the table doesn’t align with ALL of my traits, it really is what I wear like everyday. Warm colors with oversized t-shirt and shorts and what I feel comfy in and I enjoy it! Took this quiz because I was bored and it did not disappoint! This creator is really heading places!
