Nen Type Quiz Explained

A Nen type quiz or test is a set of questions to determine your Mind Force category. Nen is a technique to manipulate your life energy or Aura. It is a power system you in the Hunter X Hunter series. And its users are called “Nen Users” as opposed to Non-users. The test identifies which of the six Sense types matches your personality.

It Works Based on the Four Principles

The Nen type quiz on this page analyzes your personality through Ten, Zetsu, Ren, and Hatsu principles. According to the legends, you can open your Nodes sufficiently when you master these four principles. To discover your Mind Force type, we are going to examine your potential performance for each of them.

· Ten

The first quarter of the Nen type quiz is about your concentration. The goal is to find out how easy or difficult it is for you to control your emotions. Those who master Ten can keep their Aura Nodes under control.

· Zetsu

During the second quarter of the Nen type quiz, you face questions about modesty. Those who master Zetsu can close their Nodes when necessary. That is a hazardous act because it restricts the performers defending systems. Yet, it is a crucial skill for a Hunter to have.

· Ren

The third quarter of the Nen type quiz assesses your attacking abilities and anger management. The way you react to your real or imaginary enemies can reveal your Mind Force category. Those who master Ren can use their life energy (aka Aura) to attack their enemies and bring them down. So, it is a dangerous skill to have—and the way you use it defines who you really are.

What Nen Types Are Included in the Quiz?

All the six Senses (Enhancement, Transmutation, Emission, Conjuration, Manipulation, and Specialization) are included in this test. Below you can what each of them means—in case you do not know it.

#1: Enhancement: A person with this type of Nen can enhance and increase the abilities of an object. They can also use their power to empower themselves, improving their physical or mental skills. Gon Freecss is one of the protagonists with this ability.

#2: Transmutation: If your Nen type is Transmutation, you can manipulate your Aura to mimic another substance. It is often used as a technique to give one’s life energy a practical form. For instance, Killua Zoldyck (キルア゠ゾルディック) uses this power to create an electricity-like attacking technique.

#3: Conjuration: Someone with this type of Sense can morph their power into a physically independent object. A good example is Kite. He creates and controls weapons with the help of his Aura.

#4: Emission: A Hunter with this ability can separate pure Aura from his body and use it. You should not confuse it with Conjuration as an Emitter cannot turn their life energy into physical objects. Razer is an example of such a Nen user. He creates and uses Aura balls as a long-range weapon.

#5: Manipulation: if the Nen type quiz says you are a manipulator, it means you can control living and non-living things.

#6: Specialization: It is the most insane Aura type. There is no clear definition for a specialist. However, if you cannot fit into the previous five categories, you are probably a user of this Mind Force.

· Special (特とく質しつ, Tokushitsu)
